Stephen Foster Drama Association
Our Story
The Stephen Foster Story has entertained audiences at My Old Kentucky Home State Park for decades. This experience provides a perfect blend of history, music, dance, costumes and drama. It is a treat for the whole family and we can't wait to see you this summer!
Donations on Kentucky Gives Day 2025 will support the production of our 2025 Season of shows and concerts.
No matter the size, your gift will help us continue our mission of bringing high-quality entertainment to Bardstown & My Old Kentucky Home!
The Stephen Foster Drama Association produces The Stephen Foster Story as well as an additional Broadway-style show and the Live at the Park Concert Series each summer. Located in Nelson County, the productions include a cast of forty members including singers, dancers, actors, and live musicians performing more than fifty of Stephen Foster’s songs, including Oh, Susanna!, Beautiful Dreamer, and My Old Kentucky Home. The Stephen Foster Story, performed at the Amphitheater in Bardstown, is an internationally acclaimed production that celebrates the music of Stephen Collins Foster. Located in historic Bardstown - voted 2012 Most Beautiful Small Town in America by Rand McNally & USA Today - is a special resource for our production, providing a beautiful setting for outdoor theatre. The Stephen Foster Drama Association continues to offer a professional training program for young actors and education programs and Classroom Under the Stars, which provide an opportunity for school students to experience live theatre.
