Our Story
Grow hope for survivors!
Your gift nurtures lives harmed.
Our specially trained advocates support people harmed by intimate partner abuse any time of the day, every day of the year. Our main facility is situated on a beautiful 40-acre property in rural Fayette County. From this location and satellite offices across our 17-county service area, we provide these crisis intervention, healing, and stabilization services:
24-hour hotline
42-bed emergency shelter
Safety planning
Legal advocacy
Support groups and activities
Transportation assistance
Safe exchange and visitation
Medical and dental treatment
Supportive housing and assistance
Job readiness and training
Our services are based in the trauma-informed care model. This means we honor that everyone responds to and heals from trauma in different ways. What makes us truly special is the opportunity to be out in the fresh air on the farm that surrounds our emergency shelter. We also offer many artmaking, sewing, and journaling groups to encourage healing and well-being.
